I love to travel all over the world, but Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is my most favorite place! I had wanted to backpack all my life, and The Porkies were my first excursion. I was blown away, I had no idea I’d find such beauty in my own home state! It was challenging and breathtaking and I will never forget it. The cliffs, the horizon, seeing the Milky Way at night…it’s a crazy, busy world. But out in the Porkies, you can forget all that, relax, and breathe.

Love staying in the White Birch Cabin, so peaceful out there. Only a short 2 minute hike to this amazing sunset view point.

I love being able to amble along the shores of the mighty Superior, just minutes away from your rustic cabin, and enjoy complete solitude. It is an amazing location to gather your thoughts and reenergize your soul.

Lake of the Clouds is a little piece of heaven in Gods Country.
